The German drinking glass manufacturer Stölzle Lausitz is strengthening its management team. With immediate effect, Ronald Brieger (55) will be responsible for the areas of production, technology and glass finishing in the management team, and thus for the entire technical part of glass production from the design of new glasses to shipping. Johann Nagl remains as managing director and is responsible for sales, marketing, e-commerce as well as finance and controlling.
Ronald Brieger has been familiar with machine-based glass production at the Weißwasser site for years. A mechanical engineer by training, he previously worked as plant manager at the Stölzle Lausitz glassworks. After joining the plant in 1989, he was initially responsible for the machinery and maintenance, and in 2008 he became plant manager and was given power of attorney. Brieger is married and has two children. He particularly enjoys using his free time for extended bike tours in the immediate and wider surroundings.
Brieger's appointment as Managing Director of Stölzle Lausitz GmbH by Dr. Cornelius Grupp, shareholder of Stölzle Lausitz GmbH, was made on the one hand as a sign of appreciation for his past achievements, and on the other hand as an expression of confidence and belief in his ability to further expand the high quality level in the production of machine-blown drinking glasses at the Weißwasser site.
The requirements in the high-quality goblet glass industry have grown increasingly in recent years. "Ronald Brieger has shown a good hand here in perfecting the machine drawing process and has had great success. With his production team, he has managed to create such noble and finely blown glasses that a layman can hardly distinguish from mouth-blown glasses," says Johann Nagl. He is looking forward to working together in the newly created constellation and sees the strengthening of the technical competence in the management as a valuable basis for the further development of the glass specialist.
