In search of a groundbreaking and powerful design, the top-class jury of the German Design Award has found it: They honored the POWER crystal glass series from Stölzle Lausitz with the German Design Award 2018 for its excellent product design. The series, which includes three goblets and two wine tumblers, is now entitled to use the title "Winner 2018" in the Tabletop section in the category "Excellent Product Design". The wine glass manufacturer from Lusatia sees this award as confirmation that it will continue to combine characterful design and high functionality in a striking and pointed manner.
With the wine glasses of the Power series, the jury of the German Design Award honored an expressive, puristic design. This gives wine drinkers and connoisseurs an additional plus of enjoyment, because the POWER glasses from Stölzle Lausitz give the wine a maximum of breathing space even in small quantities. This is made possible by positioning the greatest expansion of the goblet directly at the bottom level. This also results in an extremely elongated chimney, which leads the bouquet of the wine purposefully to the connoisseur.
The crystal goblets are given a special lightness by the slender stem, which elegantly supports the cubic goblet. The flat foot corresponding to the goblet base ensures the stability of the overall robust glasses of the Power series.
The POWER glasses are manufactured at the headquarters of the wine glass manufacturer Stölzle Lausitz in Weißwasser/O.L. in Saxony, where the company implements a machine manufacturing process at the highest quality level that comes very close to the handcrafted mouth-blowing technique. In the so-called drawing process, the stem is pulled out of the goblet during production, resulting in a seamless transition and high stability of the wine glass. This special process also makes it possible to create unusual glass shapes, as is the case with the POWER series. The award shows that the high quality standards that drinking glass manufacturer Stölzle Lausitz sets for the development and production of wine and champagne glasses, beer glasses, and spirits and bar glasses are fully met.
